I woke up this morning with an investor client of mine calling and asking about a new listing... This gentleman owns several rental units and is always looking for more. With that being said; I started to wonder why so many of my other clients question the ability of investing in real estate and the returns it produces? Did they play monopoly as a child? Everyone loves to be the banker in Monopoly and everyone just buys like crazy and then builds like crazy ( sounds like the real estate market in 2005 ). Why do they do that? Well; they know you win the game buy creating a stable passive income paying them every time someone lands on their space. But what happens to those that love monopoly as a child when they grow up and turn a cold shoulder to the one investment that has continued to perform time and time again? Most have excuses such as.... Its to hard, you have to chase your money, you really don't make money... Well guess what; It CAN be BUT if you align with the correct people you can obtain double digit returns on investment year after year. I'm not hear to tell you no one loses money but I will say if you develop a plan, just as in monopoly, and stick to it you will become the banker! Bank on yourself because the bank is only there to make money on your money! Have a Great Week!
